Frequently asked questions
At Proxeuse you currently only have the choice for a Plesk control panel. Plesk is a control panel that is very user-friendly but also works quickly. We also expect to offer cPanel or DirectAdmin Hosting at the end of 2020 or the beginning of 2021.
Shared Hosting is renting a piece of computing power, storage space and RAM on a special computer from a hosting provider such as Proxeuse. The server is set up, secured and updated correctly by the hosting provider so that the customer does not have to worry about this. On Shared Hosting, the customer is given the option to host a web application or website, while other applications are also possible with VPS Hosting.
Ordering Shared Hosting is easy, if there is a standard package to the list above, you can click on the “Get Started” button. The ordering process is then fully completed with you in a simple and well-arranged manner. If you are looking for a tailor-made package, we will prepare a quote for you that you can easily sign through our customer portal, customer service will then follow you through the next steps.
With a Shared Hosting package you have virtually infinite possibilities for creating a website. You can choose to develop a WordPress website, build your own website in HTML or PHP, or have an external company build a website. Proxeuse also offers you the possibility to have a website made, for a predetermined amount a beautiful website will be designed and built for you in WordPress or HTML / PHP. Take a look at our Portfolio for a number of examples.
Yes, a domain name is required for Shared Hosting at Proxeuse. However, these do not have to cost a lot of money (and in some cases may even be free). With your domain name you enter the search engines such as Google and Bing. In addition, a domain name is much more useful to remember than an IP address. The Plesk control panel also does not work without a domain name. If you have questions about domain names, check the page about domain names or contact our support team.
